Re: What about a winter version of the rear wiper

For full replacement (steel & rubber) wipers for the front, they are available and should be easy to find. Narrow blades are available for the fronts if you don't mind the steel arms that came with from factory. I don't now if any modifications needs to be done when replacing the rubber only. I ...

It knows somebody if I can place also that
I doubt you can install cruise control in a manual transmission vehicle. No point in having cruise if you have to change gears yourself.

Matte black is cool. Hey! Didn't the movie Robocop have Matte black cop cars?

I have an 05 with 64k miles on it. Noticed that it whines upon startup when its cold (its well below freezing here now). Never occured before. Goes away after about a mile. I used my stethoscope and none of the front accessories (ps pump, alt, tensioners) are making any noise. Called the dealer and...

Re: Not Pathfinder fans then...

I don't think he lowered the tire pressure to about 10psi. I think that would have made a difference.

When the tire pressure is lowered, you have more traction on the ground.

Re: Pathy vs Deer

Sorry to hear bout your Pathfinder, but glad to hear no one got hurt. Your story reminds me the time when I was riding in my Dad's full size GMC truck back in the late 70's. This buck ran across the highway and impacted our front spare tire while travelling at 80km/h. Surprisingly, back then, there ...

Hi Gimmie, Cheers for the info - pathfinders seem to be the hardest suv's to find rims for - especially here in the UAE. What's the deal with getting some nice 20 black rims - what are the pro's & cons' - I really like the ride as it is stock & I saw some pretty bad feedback ( rough feel et...

Finally got it fixed and would've cost me -$1500 if it wasn't for the warranty. Reason was the chain was slightly loose, causing the chain to drag on the guide.

Took them 3 days to complete the repair... kinda thinkin how long it would've taken me to do it in the backyard with my own FSM.

The chrome trim on the 08 models are pretty much the same. I'll bet the only difference is the way the screw is angled. I'll be at a dealership tomorrow and I'll take a look.

Dropped it off at the dealer on Saturday. Diagnosis is an alternator and the Timing Chain TSB. A little pissed that the first dealer didn't listen to me on that, but what can you do. Extended warranty has my butt on this one so no harm no foul. I noticed the whining last week and I only have under ...

Re: License Plate Light

I have looked into something like this but it seems like the flexible tip part of the screwdriver would be too long to fit underneath the chrome trim covering the plate. Have u used something like this with success? Hello, I refuse to believe that the easiest way to gain access to the license plate...

I haven't encountered any water leakage at all, but I have encountered massive dirt build up after every offroad trip so far. Who knows, maybe all the dirt is pushing the gasket tighter against the rear window? At least for me. Anyone else run across this? Wow, that's a great find! I'll have to do ...

Flexable screwdriver. You may find one on Ebay.
