rad caps

I was wondering if the caps on my cooling system are reversed? There is a cap for the rad and a cap for the overflow bottle.

Which cap goes where? 1 cap is just that, a cap. The other is the pressure cap with spring assembly etc in it rated to 15 PSI.

So where does the pressure cap go?

You should be fine, most antifreeze is all the same in retrospect. and only 1 qt added, I wouldnt lose any sleep. Well I checked it again today, and added a bunch more. I have never topped it off since we got the truck in August, and have done some heavy towing with it. I may start a new thread for...

checked my 05 pathy today while changing the oil. Noticed that it doesn't pump out great heat at idle, but it has also been bloody cold here (-30C).

I was down about a quart. I'm sure I will have to top up again, as the air makes its way out of the system.

adding coolant

Did my second oil change on the 05 pathy today. Not much fun when its -20C (-5F). Did a quick fluid check, and noticed i was low on coolant. All I had in my garage at that hour was premix Honda type 2 coolant (designed for aluminum long life applications). Anyone see any problems with my using this ...

I guess it was a factory option. I picked the Pathy up in Edmonton, the original sticker was kept by the home office. But that little plug was seen tucked inside the bumper opening, lower passenger side. Had I not looked for it, I would not have noticed it. Its a standard add on at the dealerships ...

just had this happen to me today. VDC Off, SLIP and ABS lights all came on at the same time and stayed on. I had been switching from 2wd to 4wd (don't have the All-Mode) due to some snow on the back roads. Stopped, turned the truck off, restarted and they came back on. Fiddled with the 4wd switch, a...

Typically they get extra power partly due to leaning out the A/F mixture, which improves fuel economy. But then with the extra oomph, people tend to get on the go pedal harder than they would otherwise so a lot generally experience lower fuel economy. So whats the guess of how much fuel economy i g...

Re: Problems with my IPDM

So I been having some problems with my PF for the past two weekends. During the day the PF works fine and by night it stalls and then it won't start. Every time I tried to start the PF the engine would vibrate (kinda like is running out of gas) and when I pressed down the accelerator it stalls. Too...

Re: time to disengage 4WD

How long should it take for the 4WD to disengage? Often I will switch to 2WD but the front wheels on the display keep blinking until I slow down and make a turn. my lights don't blink when I switch back to 2wd. So basically, mine disengages when I switch back. Do you have and AWD setting on your 4W...
