Wasn't this due to some weird engine mount issue?

Transmission rebuild - any upgrades?

I have 204,XXX miles on my 08 S model. I had the dreaded "transmission" problem but was able to power through it with a new radiator and a "industrial size" flush of the engine, etc. I've noticed that I'm starting to have some issues and have decided to rebuild it but wanted to i...

No wheel alignment had been done, in fact I did have some front end work done namely new tie rod ends and lower ball joints. I thought it was my tire sensor but had that replaced and programmed. I'm going to assume it's the sensor.

Code C1163

I've had an issue with my TPMS light staying on. I did have one sensor on a tire that was out and had it replaced and programmed twice because of this light. It never has gone out a month after doing all of this. I had a code reader attached and it came up with C1163 (Steering Angle Sensor Circuit)....

How often do you need to change the fluids in the front and read diff's? I know how to do the rear but what about the front? Servicing the front diff is no different than servicing the rear. How often really depends on how you drive it, or more important, the conditions on which you drive your vehi...

I just had mine replace at 187,000 miles. I waited about 10 miles more than I should have since I had to have the tie-rod ends replaced as well. Mechanic was amazed I didn't die........

I have 190,000 on my 08, had the problem around 120'ish. Had a new radiator installed and flushed EVERYTHING out. I know it's going to go out eventually but it's still running hard and still has the same shudder shifting from 2nd to 3rd, however it's only bad when it's hot out. Yeah, I know I need t...

Lower Control Arm replacement

Ok, at what point do you replace the whole unit versus the ball joint? Granted you need a special took to remove the ball joint, but time wise wouldn't it just be easier to pull the ball joint and replace it?

Re: Installing LED interior/map/cargo bulbs.

Guys and Gals, I read some frustrating incidences when trying to access and replace factory bulbs with LED bulbs. Number one, you do not dismantle the light housing for any of the locations. I recently changed 5 bulbs in my 2008 Pathfinder LE in less than 30 minutes. You merely remove the actual le...

I did the same recently with the Monroe Quick-Struts an am very happy. It was quite easy too....took maybe two hours taking my time. I think I wrote up something when I did it if you search my history. Just to make sure, it comes with the bearing plate and everything just rip all the old stuff out ...

I would go with Monroe Quick-struts #171103. They have a 90-day satisfaction warranty plus a limited lifetime warranty. Rockauto.com sells them for $111.79+shipping. Search online for a 5% discount code. They also have a full selection of upper and lower control arms with bushings. I would go with ...

Strut/spring replacement

Okay, at 17X,XXX miles and having the original struts I think it's time to replace them. What I'm looking for is a direct replacement, meaning I want to remove the old strut and spring and just drop a new system in place. I don't want to use the old springs (the whole front end is squeaking like an ...

My 08 SE does the same thing. Sometimes if I stop, put it in neutral, put it into 4-LO and let it engage, and then put it back into 2WD it'll go back in. My 08 S does this as well. However, it depends on the mood it's in that day if it wants to come out of 4WD. Generally it won't just disengage, I ...

Not to hijack the thread, but when they do go bad do they squeak really bad? I think mine are out and when I hit a bump it sounds like a really loud squeaky floor.
