Hmmm... I swear I uploaded this video few days ago on the forum, but cannot find it anymore. So let's do it again. Here's a short VIDEO of how squeaking sounds like when going uphill or downhill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzofzQvsmRk When only maintaining speed on highway, squeaking is not hea...

Well, it seems like LEFT side is critical, which might point into some extensively worn out parts on REAR LEFT, most likely silent joints on rear arms or ball joints, maybe spring seat...or even years of having heavier load on left side, with driver....would produce left spring to be a bit lower tha...

Hi, I did not find the initial squeaking source, and it's coming louder UNDER LOAD, meaning uphill or downhill, while on straights it is quiet. I also notice slight vibration at higher speeds. So here's updated VIDEO of how it sounds like: https://youtu.be/MzofzQvsmRk 2 of 4 U-joints were replaced. ...

After some 30k miles update: I have 265/70-R17 and they wear very slowly. Like thread dropped from 14 mm when new to 11 mm now, pretty equal across all tires and across each tire width. Still pretty quiet and they grip excellent on dry road, pavement, gravel, sand, mud, deep snow, over the roots, st...

Beside all mentioned bad side effects, additional stress is presented to drivetrain (u-joints, diffs, axles...) when you are in 4WD mode, especially in 4Hi or 4Lo. It would be best to avoid any 4WD mode until you change tires to equal sizes.

Seems like light sensor was a subject of being tried to pull off some time ago, but then whoewer did that, quit. Adhesive gel has some air pockets in it, but it seems did not ply off entirely.

Auto lights sensor

Hi,

Past few months I notice my headlights do not turn on automatically on foggy weather when it's quite dark. Howewer, they turn on at the evening at sunset when it's still quite shiny out there.

Is there any sensor needing cleaning?

No, I was not speaking about cam belts/chains, but about serpentine belt, which drives alternator and other non essential stuff. It's visible on the outside, you can visually inspect that.

Hmmm... what bothers me most is the very constant interval of huming noise coming on and off. It's never always on, but it's always 2-3 seconds on and 2-3 seconds off (at 70 mph, for example). It never hums constantly, always comes up and goes away in 2-3 seconds intervals. Tires? I guess they would...

If they replaced timing chain, then I doubt it is something serious. Similar sounds I met with the following: - once the "normal" belt was not properly installed, was offset for one stripe on one of the pulleys, so one stripe of the belt teared off and the teared part of belt was waving ar...

Humming noise from engine or drive

Hi, past few months I can hear low frequency pulsating humming vibration/noise when driving over 60 mph highway. It stops if I put in neutral. Not related to A/C, ventilation. Not related to highway, any highway is good. And it does not cause any vibration, although it sounds much like one. How to d...

Rear has CV joints on half axles.... might those produce the noise? If it is clicking, might be balls in half axles CV joints.
See if any rubber boot is damaged.

Well, that's why I already changed rear rotors, pads and shoes. Bought Brembo kit hoping to get good quality, but it was only good for 14 days. After that it came back to weak hold as it was before.

Well, I changed both front ABS sensors and I thought problem solved as none od the lights came back. But now we're on vacation again, seaside and high temperatures all day, vehicle parked on direct sunlight all day long and all 4 lights came back with exactly same symptoms as before. What I am think...

Mine does not hold on incline, no way. I can pull the lever so hard, that it's painful to disengage later, but still does not hold the vehicle. Regarding A/T "Park" position...it hurts when moving shifter from Park to Drive when it is so heavily loaded that I have a feeling I will break th...
