slavbon, the tab the usually breaks isn't actually on the lid anyway, it's part of the heater box asmb. Only the recieving loop is on the lid. The spot for the speednut is a slot running vertically on the left of center of the lid, at the top. It's far more reusable, and secure. Don't put the lid on...

Intelligent power distribution module.

It's the fuse panel, except it has an control until with integrated relays and stuff in it. It's also configured differently for different versions of the same vehicle. It's also about the same price as any other electronic control unit....

The IPDM's are relatively common, but it sounds like you got a clueless tech. You can actually see the IPDM volatge in data monitor as well as run the IPDM self-diagnosis to confirm. I don't see how they coulda f'd your ECM unless they were somehow careless and did the IPDM re+re with the battery co...

HEY GUYS! Try to replace them after running the heat for a few minutes, it makes the plastic more flexible. If you broke it off, no need for zip-ties and duct tape. If you look at the box, there is a provision to add a speed-nut (one of those clip with a threaded boss things - like for your license ...

if this happened right after a drive train service, you might want to make sure you have the right fluids in the driveline - This could also cause intermittent VDC problems. I can't remember off hand - but xterra's have 2 different diffs, maybe pathfinder too....

it actually depends on your trim level and year, some obstructions and all have hard panels - if you get some poor mechanic to change one under warranty, he gets 12mins. Long ways from 45min! ;)

i have a hard time believing the spindles are the same - the toque member bolts on a titan/armada are huge and get torqued to 160ft/lbs. I don't think the front axles are the same either....i could be wrong, but i'd double check...

no lifetime warranty on anything as of yet - seat belts used to be, but that ended in 2002. occationally they have lifetime recalls on some things, but no "warranty".

OR has billstein or rancho shocks, skids plates (3) and hill hold, and of course badging - they all ride pretty well the same. I've seen some of the billsteins leak- so if they're not available to you locally, be prepared. The non off roads have the holes for the plates if you care to add them.

my 08 S - no lock If you guys really want a pissing contest, check this out; Look at the fuel door of an 05 vs. say an 08 - 05's you need to push the opposing side to flip the door open, newer ones have a little bump in the door you can grab with your fingers! FYI - if you look at your fuel guage, i...

man, i hope you're not paying for this diagnosis - if you payed for one bad diag. it should be a "come-back" after that. If the found a bad sensor, they should be able to back it up with some readings. There is a nissan wheel speed tool that doesn't print, but you can do the same diag with...

you can flush with less - it's up to you how thorough you want to be - i think the listed capacity is something like 11L. I would not attempt any reverse flushes. Especially in solenoid controlled valve bodies - ppl should know better. I've never had any issue and have literally done hundreds. If yo...

Every trans flush machine i've ever used basically works that same way - with variations on the bells and whistles. Basically, It hooks up inline/in series with the trans - most often at a cooler line. So if you imagine the path the fluid takes, through the trans, through the cooler and back to the ...

i think the flush is a good idea if your using the right fluid....i've never heard of a "drain and flush". The flushers I and most everyone uses are basically a resevoir of clean fluid, into which the transmission's own pump, postitively displaces new fluid with old, thus pushing new fluid...
