The break out / SOT cable has a ground wire loop which i just hooked under one of the lower screws when re installing the unit (The OEM stereo uses the bracket as ground anyway). I ran the Parrot iPod/aux in leads across into the glove box for now, and the screen wire up to the right of the stereo (...

Next unclip the trim around the radio and screen by again pulling up and back, it should just pop right off. http://i1305.photobucket.com/albums/s560/kael2001/Mobile%20Uploads/057EB91A-1803-400D-9776-2C6FE38A4256_zpszljlw2ic.jpg This is a little harder to move out of the way, so you can unclip MOST ...

Worst case scenario with over heating is when coolant leaks in with the oil. Can cause warped head and or cylinders. But pretty unlikely they'd miss that.
If you didn't drive very far afterwards then you may have gotten away with the replaceable parts burning out and no 'extra' damage

Admin/Moderator ESM for Diesel

Could someone add this link to the r51 FAQ's? It's for the ESM for both VQ & YD engines

Found a YD25 Diesel Service Manual!

I finally found a copy of the Electronic Service Manual for the Diesel YD25 DDti!
You can download a copy here:http://www.sgh.si/PUBLIC/pathfinder_r51_esm.html

It comes with a PC based reader, but in the extracted folder is all the PDF files that can be read on their own.

Hope this helps!

There's some good photos here that should give an idea of how to get into the door without taking the trim off fully here:

You can try the instructions linked to here, but from what I can see you have to run the cable to the dash yourself

U.K. Section?

Can we get a UK section in the regional bit?

Also a How To Section would be good for people to post guides in, so you don't have to search to see if someone has done the thing you want to do already for advice (really bad grammar there I know)

Do you mean the car starts with the emergency key, but when you have turned the car off you can't remove it?

Stuck 2nd Row Folding (Tumbling?) Seat WALKTHROUGH

When I bought my car there were only a few things that didn't work. One of them was the passenger side rear seat folding action, that allows access to the 3rd row. While I have yet to use the 3rd row, I would have to use that side as I have a child seat in the other side which isn't very movable onc...

Yeah the word 'many' doesn't fill me with confidence lol. Might just do the bypass anyway till I can afford a new rad.

Hi kael, Nice ride. I just bought a pathy also and read a lot about the radiator problems in the US models. What action are you taking? I'm doing the trans cooler bypass that other members have done and discussed in depth lol There's a detailed walk through here http://www.thenissanpath.com/viewtop...
