Just a question like that: when did you change your transfer case oil ?? if the answer is <never>, I would try that first.... dirty old fluid can cause problems . It's cheap and takes about an hour to do.

I don't know if it's because you forgot to write it or not, but you absolutely need to locktite these screws or else they wil...

This is a common issue for the r50....Just buy a can of silicon lubricant and spray deliberatly in the windows channel. You do not need to dismantle anything.
