Two codes...A little help?

I am getting a P1031 code and a P1148 code. Closed loop bank 1. Which side of the vehicle is bank 1? I think this is the A/F sensor that is visible under the hood upstream of the cats? Is this the first thing to changeout? Or could it be something else? Should I stick with OEM or are there aftermark...

Codes read...1 fixed...4 to go. 2005 Pathy

I have a 2005 Pathy-101,015 miles. I got my code reader in today and I replaced my Fuel Sending Unit. I got one code cleared (P0463) by doing that. Codes remaining: P1148 (Closed Loop Bank 1--A/F sensor?) P1272 (Air Fuel Ratio Sensor -- Same thing???) P0171 (System too lean Bank 1 --A/F sensor ???) ...

I will be going back to own oem. I did gap the non platinum plugs to 0.44. That was what the NGK website said , but according to that article sounded like non platin plugs should be gapped at .031-.035. I dont know. I was thinking that the O2 sensor could possibly be confused. Sounded like a bigger ...

I would have to assume that the p in the part number is for platinum and those are what came our NOT what I put in. Should I go on and out the oe kind in. most definitely! http://www.se-r.net/engine/platinum_copper_ngk.html what a shame to have to do all that work over again :( So, according to tha...

I suppose I will stop resetting it and see where it goes from there. I will be ordering tje fuel sending uni...

After driving it a good bit more, I can tell that something isn't quite right. It seems real rich smelling....So, I decided to look at the plugs that came out and the ones that went in.....The OE plugs were NGK PLFR5A-11's and I replaced them with NGK LFR5A-11's. According to NGK's website they are ...

Spark plug change...Better performance...Reduced MPG's

2005 Pathy XE 4X4. Changed plugs yesterday. 1st time in 100k miles. I noticed a significant performance change, but it seems as though my MPG's have gone down considerably. I removed intake to change 4-6 plugs. Gaskets looked good so I just reassembled. Prior to changing plugs I was averaging around...

I did not have any problems. However, I have read many problems, not necessarily on this site, but other forums. Seems the most prominent problem was diagnosed as debris in a tranny after a flush in vehicles with high mileage and never being flushed earlier in life. Therefore, when it's flushed and ...

Tranny flush...to do or not to do?

I have an '05 Pathy bypassed at around 75K miles. I did a flush and fill at the dealer at around 55K miles. I just turned 100K this evening and wanted to see what you guys think. I have read some negative things about flushes, and since I have 100K miles on it, I am a little leery of a flush to be h...

Hi Oil Pressure..Sending Unit or Switch

I always check my oil pressure at least once while driving wherever I am going, and as I was leaving the woods this afternoon I looked at my Oil Pressure gauge and it was pegged HIGH. I know that when I went to the woods it was operating normally. I turned the pathy off, and turned the key to on wit...

Towed with a bypassed tranny cooler.....Good results

This weekend I towed my travel trailer 250 miles one way to Destin and back. Trailer loaded, car loaded, no issues. Pathy actually did better than I thought it would. I got 10 MPG, and averaged about 50 MPH. From where I live in West, central Alabama to Destin is almost all 2 lane, so the speed limi...

Installing Airlift 1000's (how to)

Anybody have any good tips on installing the AirLift 1000's? I am planning on installing some in about a week or two and would like to know if there are any tips as to getting them in the spring. Actually, the ones I ordered only came with 2 protectors. The manual shows four. I called airlift and th...

It's what streetrodders are using....Just google images "aluminum transmission cooler". Mounts on the frame anywhere airflow will be present....Ought to dissipate well.
