You picked out a great unit. I have the 4200 in mine and I love the thing. Did yours come with the dash kit? The one I have is giving me problems. I can't seem to fit it so I have a big gap running across the top. And does your radio work well also. I either some how missed soldering the power ante...

Pioneer AVH-4300DVD installed

I just got my new Pioneer AVH-4300DVD player installed in the Pathy. I can truly say installing stuff on the Pathy has been a breeze as compared to the old Pontiac :) It took more time splicing and soddering the wiring harnesses than it did to actually install the stereo. I also went ahead and repla...

Replacing factory mirror with auto dimming/comp model

My 05 Pathy came with the stand run of the mill mirror, no auto dimming or compass etc. Anyways I was looking through eBay and found a bunch for the Pathy and I was wondering can one with the Auto Dimming and Compass be hooked up? I know from my Pontiacs of the past, they came prewired with more upg...

I like the looks of it, but I see that metal tubing heating up quickly and you will find yourself potentially sucking in more hot air than you bargin for. I was thinking that maybe it would be a wise idea to add some heat resistant type wrapping to the pipe and then some of that heat treated bubble ...

Thanks everyone for the great answers! I did try a "simple" search but I guess I was inputting the wrong words to find the correct links.

Thank you all again! I will be doing this later this week.

Much appreciated again!

How to install rear hatch struts.

I purchased new rear struts to replace my old ones that will not hold up the rear hatch to save its life. My question, what is needed to move the old and to install the new ones? I see what looks like a metal "pinch" band that goes around the end pieces and attaches over the joints, but I ...

Electrical/Accesory Wiring for the O5 Pathy SE

I wanted to ask to see if anyone might know this question. As most car manufacturers go, They like to keep things simple. For example, in the Grand Prix's GM was lazy had all the electrical hook ups in their GT model cars to accept a Digital Information Console (DIC for short) Not all GT Models had ...

GeddyLee, She got the one with the oiled filter, it's a little cheaper, but I don't mind re-oiling it when I clean it. The cone filter is actually on top of the battery in the first pic. She fessed up that she ordered it from Autoanything.com and with 15% holiday special + free shipping it was $243...

That is truly one nice setup! I just checked out their site for the CAI combo, they sure dont come cheap!!! But seeing how well it is made and the quality of the filter their use, its pretty darn understandable why they created such a fine item. I think I might have to say up for this one. Which fil...

As for ideal MPG, I find that 55-60Mph is my sweet spot. Pretty much the slower one drives, the better the mileage. A lot of us can't drive that slow simply because it is far too dangerous. I'm not going to drive 55mph when the posted speed is 75 or 80mph & most people are driving 80mph +. I'm ...

Any information or tips and trips to help improve mileage, even in the slightest would be most helpful. Thanks! seems like the majority of fuel gets used in getting these things moving from a stop as tempting as it is to put your foot in it :D , avoid hard acceleration, especially from a stop if po...

I hate bring back from the dead an old post like this, but I wanted to ask for my own sake, my 05 Pathy reads on the gas door like one of the photos above, it is "recommended" to use Premium Gasoline. I had a 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GTX/GTP, and I had to use religious 9*+ Octane to keep th...
