Real American SUV... That's probably built in Canada or Mexico! Been the "American" SUV route... I'm pretty sure they're not much better ;)

I absolutely love my 07 SE 4x4... so much so that when it comes time to trade it in we've already decided we're just going to trade it in for a new Pathfinder. As mentioned, it is a very capable off road vehicle and I had no problems at all driving the 13 miles to work down country roads when we got...

Yeah, I've experienced that.. after about 30 seconds or so they will re-lock. It was just odd because I had already driven from the parking lot to the front doors. I'm just happy it happened in town near the dealership rather than out on the road somewhere...

Anyone else experience doors locking on their own?

This morning I pulled up to the hospital to pick my son up after surgery and hopped out of the truck and left it running while I loaded up the stroller, diaper bag, etc, (all doors were unlocked). My keys, of course, were in the ignition and my wife's were sitting on the passenger seat with nothing ...

I can think of two items to be aware of right off the bat.. 1) The Pathfinder has a transmission cooler inside the radiator that has a higher failure rate. When it fails, you end up with a strawberry milkshake in your radiator. If it happens, it'll cost ya a new transmission and radiator... about $6...

That's what I intend on doing... I've still got a couple years on my extended warranty (I'll hit the # years before the mileage limitation), but when the time comes I'm either going to replace the radiator or cap it off and take it out of the loop and do a flush (I don't do hardly any towing, so the...

I've had the Volant in for about a month now and have put about 600 miles on the truck and it appears the ECM has made it's adjustments to the A/F ratio.. i'm now averaging right at 16.3 MPG combined driving and 21.9 highway driving. While I didn't have highway numbers prior to install (I don't do m...

I've had my Pathfinder since Decemeber and filled up once with 93... Been filling up with 87 ever since and haven't noticed any difference.

From personal experience (my wife's Mariner is flex fuel), I've noticed we get 30.3 mpg highway with pure gasoline, 29.2 mpg with a 10% ethanol blend, and 27.2 with E85. 3 miles a gallon doesn't seem like much, but we are only dealing with a 4 cylinder (which I HATE getting into right after driving ...

$450 to replace a MAF?!?! You gotta be kidding me! It'll take you just about the same amount of time to replace the MAF as it will to disconnect your battery cable. It's easy to get to (right on the back side of the intake tube) and only has 2 screws and a clip style plug. Just be careful no...

Ditto... I'm really considering going with a reputable 3rd party manufacturer after seeing how easily the Nissan parts scratch.. Just a thought to throw out there..

I haven't noticed anything like that yet... Of course I've only had mine in about a week. One positive change is that I have slightly improved fuel economy. When I calculated it at the pump on Friday I was pleased to find I went from 14.5 mpg (combined driving) to 15.3, and that was with me having a...

OBDII to Bluetooth?

Just curious if anyone has tried one of the OBD to Bluetooth devices for your cell phone (OBDkey, ScanTool.net)? I just picked up the new HTC Thunderbolt phone and it was a HUGE screen and thought that if these things work, it would be a pretty neat feature to have...

Finally got this installed last night... Ended up mounting the horn to the top inside lip of the engine bay compartment right in front of the intake box (factory hole already there).. Still had to shave off a corner of the horn housing with a dremel, but it looks pretty smooth. Very happy with this ...
