2004 Fuel Economy

Hi guys, Just thought I'd drop in my fuel economy numbers from a recent all day trip. Filled up my '04 Pathy before the trip and then travelled 534 Km (331 mi) round trip and filled up when I got home. So, I got 534 Km (331 mi) on 65.3L (17.2 US Gal.) using 91 octane fuel from Shell (0 ethanol). 90%...

DEAD PATHY!

Hi all, Looks like this power valve issue may have happened to my Pathy. I'm driving a very low mileage 2004 Pathfinder Chinook. It was my mother-in-law's truck until May of 2010. She bought it brand new in '04 and serviced it religiously at the dealer. When we took it over we continued servicing on...

Finally pulled the trigger and bought the Michelins. Only have 20km on them, but so far so good. Much quieter than my winters and my stock all-seasons. http://img860.imageshack.us/img860/5544/img4409r.jpg http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/2669/img4408y.jpg http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/1840/img4...

I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination. That being said, could you be having a tire balance issue?

What year is your Pathfinder? I'm getting much better fuel economy from my 2004 Pathy, and that's even during our cold Canadian winters, which drives fuel economy into the basement! Keep in mind that my Pathy has a very low odometer reading. I only have 53,000 km (or 32,932 miles)! It was my mother-...

Yeah, I'm getting 255/65/R16

The price seems OK to me. Even if I bought the tires from TireRack.com , I'd then have to pay taxes and then over $200 in shipping and then pay someone to install them.

I'm leaning toward the Michelins now, but the Toyos seem like pretty good tires for the price.

Toyo or Michelin?

Hi all, First post for me!. I know a lot of folks ask about tires, but I'd love to hear some feedback. Currently driving a VERY low mileage 2004 Pathfinder Chinook, and it's long past due for new tires. Got the truck from the Mom-in-law last May with only 22000Km on it! Came with the OEM crap Dunlop...
