I'm going to assume that since your friends are running them in trucks that they are using conversion kits. Basically they are attempting to use a HID bulb in an application (reflectors and housings) that was designed for a halogen. You will notice the vast majority of HID applications utilize a Pro...

****K or Kelvin is a light temperature measurement not brighness. Brightness is measured in Lumens. 5600K is the closest to true white light, 4300K is closer to a yellow spectrum. The 4300K is a lighting standard, not a magic number. Standards are not always put in place because they are the optimum...

I use a 3 ton floor jack and stands. Keep in mind you don't always have to go on the frame points to lift the vehicle. If you are on a level surface you can use a buffer (wood block) and jack the suspension arms. Since you are rotating (I'm assuming the x pattern) you can lift the two points necessa...

It was a 3 day storm, we probably got 14" the first day and then got an additional 6-10" by the time it stopped snowing Sunday. In a cruel twist of fate it rained a bit over .5" last night and half the day melting left most of the state green dashing most children's hopes of a White C...

Wilson Nissan in Torrington. Awesome folks, their head tech is very personable and their service writer Yolanda is a sweetheart. I just had my 60K done there a few weeks ago, wasn't cheap but it was thorough. I had the premium service done, full drive-line, coolant, brake flush... the whole shebang....

Orange antifreeze is OAT Organic Acid Technology. Here is a little except from wikipedia: Organic acid technology Certain cars are built with Organic Acid Technology (OAT) antifreeze (e.g., DEX-COOL[3]), or with a Hybrid Organic Acid Technology (HOAT) formulation (e.g., Zerex G-05[4]), both of which...

I installed my OME myself. Took a while (8hrs). I wouldn't even consider doing it myself without at the verry least a strut compressor like a Branick. The rinky-dink Autoparts store rental jobs that are essentailly two hooks on a threaded bolt won't cut it. Take my word for it, or get comfortable wi...

That's exactly why I'm a huge advocate of dogs. Relatively low upkeep and maintenance (as long as you don't mind fur) and you never have anyone surprising you on a "surprise visit". http://www.abouttimecanecorso.com/images/CaneCorsoSecuritySystem1.jpg After that it should be up to you to e...

I don't ever hear people complain about the Grand Cherokee's being Unibodies. CUV is a little harsh, CRV's, Rondo's, Murano's, Highlanders, XC70... are CUVs. I find the article's assumption the Path is going "cute Ute' " a tad ignorant since Nissan already has the Rouge and the Murano whic...
