32mm. And you're not supposed to reuse the clip or nut. Cool thanks. I will grab new at the stealer today. I found it interesting that Napa, Autozone assemblies include the abs sensor and the Nissan doesn't. That sensor is 191.00! and the others were not much more than the Nissan part. I think 209 ...

Wheel Hub/Bearing Replacement What size is the axle nut?

Front end has been making a clicking noise recently and when I took the front wheel and rotor off I found a bad wheel bearing assembly. Does anyone know what size the axle nut is? I didn't have time to mess around as I had to get it back together to go pick up my kids. This looks relatively simple a...

Just a Tip

All, If you are checking your u-joints make sure you get under the truck and grab them and put pressure on each axis for lack of better words to test for lateral movement. I have read that some are removing the shaft to inspect which is good but may not be necessary. I replaced both in my front shaf...

My truck had the shutter at 1500rpm and was more noticeable at uphill grades. But in addition to this shutter was a vibration that started around 60mph and increased with the speed. I went under and started inspecting the drive-line/u-joints. I found the u-joint on the front shaft by the transfer ca...

Well I did the bypass last night and it was very easy to do. Like many have said on here you will spend more time taking the panels off than doing the actual bypass. I did replace all the fasteners as they were rusted pretty bad. I asked a couple techs at my dealer if they have seen much of this, an...

I am experiencing this as well. Vibration starts at 60 and gets more noticeable as the speed increases. I inspected the front propeller shaft and there is side play, so I am going to take it off then take a quick test drive to verify it's bad. I plan on replacing it myself it's pretty simple. Regards

Did u guys resurface your rotors after replacing the brake pads the first time? The stealership is telling me they must resurface the rotors on all brake jobs which I think is bullcrap. They wanted $170 just to resurface both rotors. Does that sound right? I read on another post that its only $8 to...

Tires and Brakes

I went with the General HTS tires and love them so far. They are rated very well on Tire rack and other off road magazines rate them #1 all season tire. As far as brakes I just did mine this weekend. I took the rotors to a local friend to get them turned and grabbed a set of pads from the dealer. I ...

Update - Vibration When Not on the GAS

It's the driveshaft/propeller shaft. Mine did this and it is covered under the drivetrain warranty. Save yourself the time and just take it in. Vibration was from a bad u-joint in the rear driveshaft. I am out of town this week so my wife took the truck in yesterday. I called and spoke with the ser...

The transmission should be in Neutral to shift into 4LO, not Park. Not sure if that is part fo your problem or not. Thanks man, WOW I feel like a dumb @$$ now. It has no problem going into 4LO when properly engaged  . I guess I should of stopped and started a little slower, maybe read the man...

Update - Going to the dealer Mon. or Tue.

I pulled the truck back out again today to see if this issue magically cleared up. It's still there :( I pulled out on the road put it in 4wd it engaged. Drove it 50 ft. then stopped put it in park switched to 4LO put it in drive and got that audible sound again, a 4wd light came on and the lcd goes...

Vibration in the front when not on the gas and no 4LO.

Has anyone experienced this? I have a 2006 SE4X4 with 54k on it. My wife came home the other day and said that the truck would vibrate when she let off the gas. She said it was at 40mph. I checked the tire pressure and a couple were slightly off so I aired them up to exact pressure and it seemed bet...

Thanks for all of your input/opinions on tires. I am probably going to give the Grabber HTS's try. Not because of what the Tire Rack reviews rates them but because of what I have read in some of the rags like Four Wheeler etc.. they all said this tire is it when it comes to all seasons. And a lot of...

I thought it was a pretty expensive repair... If you can do it yourself - go for it! Did you try to negotiate with the dealer and get $$$ off the repair? I heard a service manager say they can ask Nissan for goodwill in certain situations. I have heard people on here say they had gotten the parts d...

Re: Fuel gauge sending unit and timing chain problems

I have a 2006 SE 4x4 with 50k. I am having the exact same symptom with my fuel guage. Guage flakes out drops to E light comes on. You fill it up and within the next 3-5 starts it attains the position back to where it should be. Then soon as I get down below a 1/2 tank it flakes out. Check Engine lig...
