I am on Nokian Hakkapelitta SUV Studded now. best winter tires there are! On my R50 I drove on Good Year Ultra Grip 500 studded. Also very good tires but 30% of studs fell off when I used these tires for the second winter. Not the case with Nokian though. BFG ATs are ok in snow but extremely poor on...

my passenger side side step plastic did the same. I was going to fix it but kept forgeting about it. On one of the trips it came off completely and I lost it somewhere :) the side step has some grooves in it and I figured there's no need for that extra plastic so I left as it is :)

I had no vibration when mine went bad. they made squeaking noises that coincide with drive shaft revolutions (at higher frequiency than wheels) that was for rear joints. the front joints just had some gap and the guy at the gaage noticed it when I want there for suspension check. other than this gap...

I would think of something like that in hotter areas. I personnaly did not have that installed on Pathy but done that with my 200SX. It worked very well. My reasons for installation was that in summer it gets really hot. The car is turbochrgaed and so its even hotter under the hood. it helped big ti...

saw those pics of new patrol few months ago. That is a pitty that they did what toyota did with their Land Cruisers. They turned them into large crossovers for moms to take their kids to school and go for groceries. I love the look of the current Y61 Patrol. I hope they ar enot going to turn pathfin...

I had the same problem. changed three belts and two tensioners in a year. I have no idea why it squealed. I figured that the tension provided by the tensioner is just insufficinet for such a long belt and so many pulleys to drive. What I did was just install the shorter belt. It was a bit harder to ...

wow, you guys have awesome mileage. even with the lowest figures. Here where I live our gas is soooo crappy that the best highway mileage I get was 18-19 mpg. in the city with some traffic jams the best I got was 10.5 mpg. if I drive aggresively it gets down to 8 mpg and sometimes less. :)
