plastic fender flares on R50

does anyone know how to get the plastic fender flares off from around the wheel wells of a 2000 Pathfinder SE? I am trying to take them off to see if there is any rust i need to fix. There are plastic clips holding them on and I don't want to snap them off by pulling on it the wrong way. Thanks in a...

Go for it! I don't think it will look cheezy at all, it will look good. It's only a 2 inch lift. Not like your raising it 6 inches or anything.
I would like to so the same to mine one day.

4x4 Low gear...

Sometimes it's a little hard to get the pathfinder into 4WD Low. It grinds just a little when it goes into gear. Is this normal for you guys as well or is it signs of something wearing out. It's got a 160000kms and in great shape.
Thanks

have you had your front struts replaced before? I would almost gaurantee it has something to do with the strut pads. It's just noisy and isn't hurtng anything. You should get them replaced when you replace you front struts. Let me know if this helps. I have the same problem with my 2000 pf. I should...

Sorry to hear the news. We have a 2000 Pathfinder as well but has never leaked. It may just need an adjustment, good luck.

Transmission fluid change

Hey everyone, I'm going to change my transmission and transfer fluid tomorrow and am wondering if I have to change the transmission filter. I have been looking through my owners manual and the online service manuals on this site and I can't find any mention at all of the transmission filter. I went ...

how many kms on your pathfinder? The timing belts are good for 180000kms. I had mine replaced at 155000, and the belt looked brand new so I would think you'd have to have high miles for it to go.

transmission fluid for 2000 pathfinder

hey guys, nice site.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what type of tranny fluid I should use in my 00 pathfinder. The manual says Dexron3/mercon or equivalent. I can't seem to find this type at the shop. Is there an equivalent I should be looking for?

Thanks in advance,
