I used the Factory service manual. The bearings have to be dismantled to get everything off, so you need to plan on buying the special tool for the front hub and seals and re-grease the bearings. I purchased EBC slotted and drilled rotors and have had no issues, with PBR / Axis metal master pads. I ...

The hub the OP says needs replacing in the first post is the main hub that contains the bearings, not the locking hub. To check the main hub, normally a run-out gauge is used and the run out checked against the Spec. To bend the hub normally takes so much damage the wheels and or the suspension are ...

Download the factory service manual (FSM) The bearings on the pathy are double tapered roller bearings and in general are very robust and not prone to failure unless 1) you get water in them and don't service after 2) hit something really hard to cause impact damage ( on an Audi I brought the former...

BTW when the truck was under warranty the dealer said the 30K re-pack was not needed, the to wait until doing the brakes. So with 105 K I have only repacked once.

So why do you need to replace the bearings ? These are standard tapered roller bearings and you can just grease them and replace the seals, and adjust. Yes you need to replace them if they are damaged, but so long as no water has got to them, and there is no spalling or impact damage to the races th...

So if you filled it to the fill plug level, Then run the car round the block, and re-check level ? Did it change ?
I don't see you can do much, I looked up this transfer case and It has a pump and valving like an Auto box, so maybe it doesn't all drain out.

I didn't believe Max-life was a Syn blend ?

Anyway I also use Walmart full synthetic with pureone filters.
I usually pay less than $20 for 5 qts.

Mine smells rich sometimes too under some circumstances. If you start and move the car a short distance and shut down, when you restart it will be rich. My two 97 4 cylinders did this too, SR and GA engines, and were prone to flooding and non start. There is a recovery built in to the ECU on these, ...

I changed my Part time fuild recently and was puzzled by your posting. So I checked the FSM and yes it list 3 1/8 US quarts as capacity. My Pathy is stock and sits close to level. but isn't the fill on the back side, same as mine, so if the back is raised the problem is more fluid not less. So I thi...

I doubt it, the 1997 to 2004 is the unibody and 2005 on Frame, so completely different.
So yes maybe you can MAKE it fit, cut and use adapters, re-weld etc.
IE use the parts and pipes as a kit.

I would think you would have better luck fitting it to an armada or frontier !!

my 2003 had 255/65 16 as stock, I replaced with 255/70 16
On second set now, AT and HT's. Reading above I think this is as big as you can get without rubbing. Stock wheels.
I mainly went bigger because speedo reads fast !!!
