Thanks eieio On the other side, it was 3 bolts that were on studs. On this side I had one bolt come off the stud; the other one the stud unscrewed - I guess the nut got hard locked to the stud. So this should be a nut on a stud, but it looks like someone used a bolt with a larger flange on it than a...

Thanks for the suggestion smj999smj, but that doesn't help in this case. Even through the wheel well there isn't any better way to get on it because the fuel lines run up that side of the engine compartment so the swing into gap of the wheel well is blocked. At this point it's not so much about how ...

Here's the photo... I've cut pretty much all of the one side off and I still can't get the others side of the nut off. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-nvKaHRbFXGVmtTOE1KV0Nmb0U/view?usp=drivesdk The nut in question is the bottom stud of the three on this junction between the exhaust and the manif...

Stuck Exhaust bolt

I've got a 95 Pathfinder and I'm trying to get the passenger side exhaust separated from the exhaust manifold. With great effort I got 2 out of 3 bolts loose but the one on the underside nearest the oil filter simply will not break. I've now tried nut breaker to no avail. It looked like there was a ...

I'm about to embark on the same adventure but I have one question... For some reason the Chilton's instructions for the installation say to loosen the camshaft bolts in order to achieve proper tension on the timing belt... anyone know why? And what is more curious is that there is never a step for t...

@bartine - What did you decide to do?

If you are parting yours out, let me know, I need some pieces.

Thanks guys. Kind of what I figured that it would be a split decision. I'm flipping the coin and since the other driver is being cool about it and I really don't want to go round and round with the insurance company over the valuation of things, I think I'm going to slowly work through the repairs m...

To keep or to total

Hey guys. I've got a 95 that's done me right for years. She's got 210k and I bought her when she had 40k WAY back in the day. I recently got in a fender bender where I rear ended someone and now I have to decide what to do. :( Since blue book looks like it's around $2000 right now, I'm fairly certai...

Strange... Maybe a stupid question, but have you checked the connectors to make sure they are all plugged together snuggly?

I finally tracked down the source of my issue... turns out it was the starter. I guess that even though the starter passed the test the weekend before, the new battery giving it lots of juice must have put it over the edge. I ended up checking the relays, wiring, and all kinds of fun corners to trac...

Not to keep an old thread resurrected, but I'm having this exact same problem... my '95 starts most of the time but then will have time when it just won't start at all. I've had the starter out - man is that operation a pain in the  ... anyway the starter tested ok. Put a brand new battery ...

Power door locks won't let me lock my truck!

I've been lurking for a while but I've run into an issue I need some help solving... I'm normally quite mechanically inclined but this one is just a generator of choice expletives. I have a 1995 Pathfinder XE that has power door locks. Normal operation on the doors is that if you use the key to unlo...
