Rear Differential Oil

I started a thread over on another Pathfinder forum, but figured I'd let you all know about my experiences with changing my rear differential oil on my '05. First, it took quite a bit of persistence with Nissan parts dept. to get them to agree that there are in fact plug gaskets as indicated by the ...

WD40 did it

Couldn't find the Meguiars at the local auto parts store, so figured I'd give the WD40 a try, and it worked pretty well. I'd say it removed about 90% of the residue, after a few repeat cleanings. Took care of my mud flaps and roof rack. Thanks for the tips! Nice to find something that works that's a...

On a related note, what's best for removing white wax/polish stains from plastic? I have not found anything to remove the carryover from my mud/rain flaps and my roof rack and it drives me crazy. Armor All and similar products just seem to mask it for a couple of days.

My truck now has approximately 36,200 miles. I took it to the dealer last week, before the warranty ran out, for the 6th time for the to fix mainly rattles. To their credit the dealer has been very hepful and even said they would refix issues if they came back but we will see. I had the Bose radio/...

Good point, it shouldn't be something that Nissan should be able to just get away with. These little things either drive you crazy when they all add up, or they turn into bigger problems later. But I guess I should be happy that it's not a bigger problem. Now the question of how to get to the dealer...

I see it once in a while too, it's usually just one drip or streak. Not really enough to worry about right now, but it'd be a nice thing to get fixed before my warranty is up in 8 months. It only seems to happen once in a while, so it'd be tough to duplicate to a dealer.

I went through the same ordeal, the service manual definitely shows a different diagram than what's actually on the truck.

Let us know how it does, if mine ever fail I might have to consider what I'd replace them with. For now I'm happy though.

So w/ the Kia kit on your 2wd, does the bag not fully vertically fill the spring? W/ my 4x4 kit the bag fully fills the space (both X and Y) even at 5PSI (really fills it at 0psi also) Right, it just fills up most of it (with about 1" gap) and bulges out between the coils. That's where it must...

so, for us Pathfinder owners. are you saying the Kia kits will fit the Pathfinder models? does it mean lower price to purchase Kia over Pathfinder? I will be getting this kit for my 4X4 Path. going to get the Smart electronic thingy, can't think of the offical name. thanks. If you have a 4WD, defin...

Airlift install - update

Just an update, I had the 2WD Pathfinder with newly-installed Airlift 1000 (60792, Kia Sorento) out around town for about 20 miles today at a pressure of about 22 PSI. Steering response is markedly improved, the truck seems to react to steering input much more quickly and accurately. Definitely less...

Installed 60792 Airlift 1000 kit on 2WD

Hey everyone, I've been on one of the other Pathfinder forums for a while, but new to this one. I had similar discussions with Kevin of Airlift, recommending the 60792 (Kia Sorento) kit for the 2WD R51 Pathfinder. After putting it off for a while, not knowing which kit would be right, I went for it ...
