I did have them changed when it was in for a transmission shifter service. I'll check them to be sure though. I just need to wait until it stops raining.skinny2 wrote:Sway bar bushings? They're crap and had updated part #'s a few years back. If you haven't changed them yet they probably need it either way. They were like $10 or something cheap like that. That was the only "repair" I did on my PF during the first 80k miles!
Lower shock absorber mounting bush? I have just replaced mine (rubber totally missing/perished from one side so the steel inner of the bush was rubbing) This cured my creaking noise.hjwd1 wrote:I'm having the short 'chirp' issue. I've tried the electric tape and replaced the sway bushings and links... it seems to happen only when the passenger wheel drops into a pothole (etc). so on a quick drop of the wheel, not on the impact or kick up. any other suggestions?
Thanks for any help,
My noises sounds almost like what you'd hear on an old pirates ship or something. When moving slowly anyway. I've got the chirping as well but I'll bet that's the hood. My sway bar bushings are a little worn but still there for the most part. Laying underneath it while my father in law shook the vehicle, it almost sounds like its coming from right behind the headlight somewhere on the driver side. If you touch the frame you can feel the vibration as it creaks. I am thinking an A-arm bushing, but they look "ok".skinny2 wrote:Sway bar bushings?
