Light hack?

Postby dasadler » Sat Sep 26, 2015 8:16 pm

Anyone know of a hack to get the Homelink button lights to illuminate? Just bought a 2015 PF and cannot find my garage button in the dark w/o a flashlight. The must be some way to illuminate those buttons in the rearview mirror.

Thanks in advance for any help.

We just programmed the first button to the right of the light to be the garage door opener. How much simpler could you ask for without going through a lot of hassle?

simple

Jay, that is a simple and suitable solution and I did the same although I expected I would be able to feel the button with my finger when I touched the mirror. Alas, I cannot so I thought a light hack would be good.

I'm thinking, however, that maybe I could put a single drop of super glue on the first button, two drops on the second button, etc. That would give me the tactile feedback I need.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Taking a tiny drill bit and making a very small dimple would probably work (and look) better.
