I was using my bumper the other night through some drifts

Stock Generals have been pretty good but this deep, wet, heavy stuff is a bit much beyond 8". Honestlyl, I can't see putting a plow on something this lightweight but I suppose a super light model might be ok for very small jobs.

I asked the same question about 2 years ago. The respondent had a point.

Its way cheaper to buy a crappy old half ton truck with a plow for $500 then to use your $30000+ pathfinder to do this grunt work. Plowing is really hard on transmissions and engines. And everything.

Where can you find a crappy half ton with a plow for $500. There certainly aren't any in the mid Atlantic states right now.

Certainly not a 4x4 in that price range. I just sold a completely beat 2001 F-150 4x4 (used in a mining pit....) for $2,000. But I just can't think of many situations that putting a plow on a light-duty vehicle would be smart. My neighbor has some small but stout riding mowers with chains that will plow like crazy.
