Tested out the air lift today

Postby Captain » Thu Jul 08, 2010 1:35 pm

Today I had to run to Lowes to grab cinder blocks for my dads patio. I loaded the spings up to 30psi and loaded 33 cement cider blocks and 2, 40lb backs of mix. I have to say I estimate the weight to 1000lbs +/-.

The springs did great. I could tell I had some weight on the PF but it complete did the job and could of handled more. :D

Looks like the air bags did their job. We took a road trip earlier in the year with 7 people and a weeks worth of luggage loaded onto a hitch mount rack and the bags worked great. No sagging rear end and the handling was good. We easily had > 1,000 lbs not to mention the hitch rack gives the luggage weight leverage. It's nice that such a great mod is so simple and cheap.
