Mine will default back to the current time whenever I set it a few minutes fast, I also just noticed when I have the radio on and turn the car off and back on it will be on Aux input however it does retain the last station I was listening to when I do switch over to fm.
My radio is always after restart back on FM preset 4 even when I changed station or used aux... to me it looks like software error.

An old thread but a same issue. Gonna try these things. It's only the clock losing set time.

OK, My unit has this problem as well. Clock resets to some random time and the audio presets (fade, bass, treble, etc) defaults back to where they were sent. Sounds like lots of folks have had this problem with no clear root cause...

When I checked under the hood for the engine fuses, I noticed that the positive terminal on the battery had some built up baking soda so I took it off, cleaned it and added some dialetric grease
The info on the web and this site is inconclusive... most suggest fiddling with the exteneded service fuse. My pathfinder is a 2011 LE and it DOES have the extended service 10 Amp fuse. I checked the fuse and don't think the fuse is bad but I'll replace it anyway. Its a little tricky to get out - take a pic of the white protective box and you can see where you need to depress the little fingers that hold in in place. If you need to you can release the lower glove box by depressing the sides in and then it will hinge all the way down.

If the extended storage switch malfunctions, or if the fuse is open, it is not necessary to replace the switch. In this case, remove the extended storage switch and replace it with a new fuse of the same rating. How to remove the extended storage switch:

1. To remove the extended storage switch, be sure the ignition switch is in the “OFF” or “LOCK” position.
2. Be sure the headlight switch is in the “OFF” position.
3. Remove the fuse box cover.
4. Pinch the storage switch and pull it in the direction illustrated.

Hoping by the end of this I will have something conclusive to contribute. I also need to repair or replace my subwoofer drivers. My teenage son had the car when the bose subwoofer went out... suprise suprise, that seems to be the same time that the head unit started having memory issues as the bass setting is stuck on the 10 setting.

Good write-up!
Lets hope it works out.
This issue is bedeviling quite a few Bose owners and the dealer wants $2200 to fix just in parts ( their solution is to replace the entire Bose radio unit)

Good news, it worked... I think it was the fuse but I also I removed and thouroughly cleaned hte battery termanals and coated with dieletric grease.

I also changed the 10Amp lowprofile fuse... from below:

Extended storage fuse located -open the glove box- to the right of the box it's the only one inside a plastic push pull holder it's white plastic ps. If you figure out how to remove it completely let me know but pull it out and push it in to reseat it then check the 20amp under the hood then clean the battery terminals. Yes I said clean the terminals, it sounds crazy but trust me I have had this same issue before and it's always one of these things. The latest was the terminals and after cleaning them my radio held its memory. Not sure if yours is the same but mine corrode like crazy. Good luck

My fuse looked fine under direct sunlight but I changed it anyway and that seemed to do the trick.

Big relief. Now to that subwoofer issue!
