2011 pathfinder LE radio (Bose no navigation) not working

Postby qcpathfinder » Wed Nov 04, 2015 3:11 pm

for the last 2 months, radio, and all audio either works perfectly or does not work at all - no sound for the last 10-12 rides, before that had perfect sound until I turned the engine off, when I restarted back to silence.

Car is 2011 with 60000km, expected the radio to be more durable, Nissan service says they don't know what is wrong with it (the day that I took the car the radio worked....next day did not, I think they just thought I was a crazy person.....but now have many witnesses!

any advice? any one else have this problem? Also temperature indicator is about 25% of the time signficantly off (like by 10-20 degrees celcius) since purchase of car, again Nissan service says they don't know why and don't see a problem (since purchase of car) (hard to prove that the temperature is not accurate!)

I just replaced my entire system, but that was necessitated by a wet amplifier blowing out. I'm far from an audio expert, but since it's intermittent, you can rule out a lot of potential problems and to me would suggest a loose connection that occasionally achieves good contact. Pretty much everything goes through the amp, so I'd start with that. You can find all of the circuits under the AV heading of the manual at this link: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Pathfinder/ ... athfinder/. Sorry, but that's about all the expertise I have to offer.
