Dtrock78 over on thenewx.org had this to say after seeing the redesign at the auto show:
I'd rather the X got out with a bang, then put it through the cruel fate of the Pathfinder. I looked at the Pathfinder at the show and I spotted a tear coming from its headlights. I asked "What's wrong??" and she looked up at and said "Look what they did to me, I cant go on" and then it drove through the glass wall off the third floor of the convention center
I thought it was brilliantly said.

One of the guys over at thenewx.org posted a link to a concept from 2001. What do you think it looks like? The only hope now is that the X will continue with a good redesign.

Here are more photos.

Actually, it isn't. It looks like the FJ to me, and the concept is from 2001.
Here's the Terranaut, which I don't think looks bad at all (compared to the Pathfinder redesign):

Not a fan of either of those concepts.

Well, I got a chance to check out the '13 Pathy's sibling at the auto show, the Infiniti JX35. I will say it is a nice vehicle; it's roomy and comfortable and nicely laid out...BUT...for me, just wasn't a true "Pathfinder." I have no objection against the vehicle, just the use of the name. If they want to lay the Pathy to a dignified demise, that's one thing. But to put it's name on a giant crossover is just a shame!

Thats why I got a 2011 Pathfinder, I thought in 2012 it mite not be the same. Im glad I got it. Im very disappointed that it isnt what the true Pathfinder should be. Its my first Nissan and I got it cause it still had truck frame and REAL FOUR WHEEL DRIVE :D
