96 Pathfinder upgrades.

Postby cheapoldguy » Fri Dec 08, 2006 1:39 pm

I'm hoping for some upgrade tips to boost top end power. Has anyone put an aftermarket air intake on one of these? How about ECM upgrades. Any documented mileage benefit from installing manual locking hubs? Any info is appreciated.

I have an intake on mine, and it creates a beastly roar as well as a little better gas mileage. The only "chips" for the R50 are fake little resistors they sell on eBay...DON'T BUY THESE. For more R50 parts, head to 4x4parts.com.

Also, there is about 1-3 mpg better with manual hubs, but you only really want to get them if you have a lift to decrease wear on the CV's.
