aftermarket headlghts

Postby Wes » Tue Feb 18, 2020 6:50 am

I see a lot of people talking about aftermarket headlights, HID, LED, Xenon, etc. Has anyone successfully changed out to a better aftermarket product and run it for a few years with no problems? I was going to get some bulbs from RockAuto, but all the reviews (on Amazon) said they burned out too quickly. LED's seem to be hit or miss and don't direct the light correctly and blind everyone. Seems like there should be a known product that works well, from a reputable company, and has some endurance.

Here is an older thread of mine of nearly the same question in the R51 subsection on here.

Headlight PICS

Figured it out...I think

Black inside and LED...cyrstal clear and bright vs yellow dim and ugly, and look way cooler.

But I guess that doesn't really answer your question....Haven't had them long enough. But the headlight replacement itself is worth it, LED's i'd have to post back later.
