I have the 35 watt low beams and went with the 55 high beams with the CarID housing. On high beam I have an insane amount of light. It is like daylight.....a nice surprice was that the low beams still stay on.NVSteve wrote:I have the same headlights from CarID. Those bits of shadow directly in front of the vehicle is the only real negative. I typically drive with my fogs on anyway, so it does fill in the shadow. Still, it would be nice to get some BMW projector housings and retrofit those into the CarID headlights. I only have 35 watt HIDs in the low beam, which have been absolutely fantastic. The only problem with that is that now my high beams are useless in comparison. Rather than throw in more HIDs for the highs, I'm just going to install a light bar for those desolate nighttime BFE roads.jlwardn wrote: Now I just need HID fogs to make up for a little more light right in front of the vehicle.
I already bought HID bulbs/ballasts for my fogs. I just am debating using the stock housings or trying to find a projector to use. I am afraid that if I use the stock housing I will throw too much light to high. I don't want to be one of the dirt bags that blind everyone with the cheapo HID's
