blown headlight after hid installation

blown left headlight fuse after hid installation

Does anyone know where is the exact location of the fuse for the left and right headlight.

Then I plugged in the factory headlight and it doesn't work. I believe it is the fuse.

Also, which fuse in the glove compartment is the spare? They are not labeled.

Thanks!

ok, after playing around with it the whole morning and downloaded the service manual. i have concluded that it's not something i can do myself.

nothing wrong with the bulb. if i install the left bulb on the right side, both hi/lo works. if i put back the left bulb on the left side, only hi beam works.

I have uninstalled the HID and put in stock light, schedule to go back to nissan dealer on Monday. something wrong with the relay harness because the fuse 52, and 54 for left and right headlight are no where to be found.

Hopefully you didnt short out something more major.. I installed LED turn signals in mine and didnt realize it was the wrong style of bulb. Long story short, I fried my PCM... Ya,, $1800 later and 3weeks in the shop I got my car back and go the correct bulbs... It all happened cuz it over loaded the circuit and blew out the PCM.

Alright. Problem Solved!

I can't believe no one here was able to help me in the morning.
Anyway, long story short I was right, it was a blown fuse.
The whole morning I was opening the fuse box trying to figure out which fuse is for which electrical wiring I was so dumb not to know that there is a diagram right under the cover of the fuse box. I downloaded the 2008 Pathy Service Manual and it was useless... for me at least.
The diagram under the cover tells me exactly where LH Headlight Lo fuse is.
I took it out with a piler, drove to autozone and pick up a 15v replacement fuse and VOILA!!!! I can see light.

Reinstall my HID kit back on and cancelled my dealership appointment.

Let see how long this time the fuse will last.

Question: Is it possible to use a 20v instead of a 15v fuse so the light doesnt get blown out?

I think what your mean is 15A/20A. It will physically fit, but you will run the risk of over-amperage on everything on those circuits you change fuses on. Also, headlights and other body functions are controlled by the IPDM and the BCM. There's nothing saying the drivers in those control units can handle it. Your HID's should NOT be blowing fuses anyway....
