I'm.....not complaining love my pathy.....but anyway to INCREASE fuel mileage.

- keep the revs under 2000 when accelerating.
- try to coast up to red lights so that you can time the lights (doesnt work well with traffic)
- pump up your tires to the max allowable cold pressure.
- switch your lubricants to synthetic, and change them regularly.
- change your air filter.
- remove weight from your vehicle. (or you!)
- drive without a/c and keep windows closed.
- remove roof rack.
- use a dedicated road tire, with street tread
- change to a smaller rim size.
- dont use 4wd (if you have it)

I have tried a few things myself, including eating less :? Kidding. But I do recommend going to a K&N filter. If you're pretty good as far as mechanics and mild fabrication it's pretty easy to build a nice intake so you can use a good cone filter. I'm in the process of doing that now. I've done it to all my previous cars and it does help to improve power and mileage some, though not as much as ricers will tell you.

Tried that stupid vortex thing. It's crap, don't waste your money. no change at all in power or mileage.

I've also spent some time playing with the A/C and, surprisingly, on my 95 it made very little difference. Granted I'm commuting on the freeway most of the time and that probably helps, but I still was getting about 18-21MPG and before was getting right about the same. maybe 17-20 worst case.

Also cleaning out the intake manifold does help a bit, especially since '95s are now "old" and most probably have a lot of buildup in there and also on the valves. Mopar makes a really good and easy to use cleaner called Mopar Combustion Chamber Cleaner. It's made to clean the chamber and valves but since the best method is a slow drip in through a vacuum port in the intake, it cleans out the intake manifold too. Doing the same with seafoam accomplishes about the same thing, just be sure to add it in little doses, just a few drops at a time, over a 30-45 minute period. Too much too fast will knock off too much built up junk at once and can cause issues. They do this service at places like Jiffy lube if you don't want to chance it yourself.
