IPDM

Postby alpha » Tue Nov 23, 2010 12:38 pm

I recently just had to replace my IPDM on my 05 le. It stalled on me at a red light on a busy intersection could thing I was able to get it started again and get into an inner street, but wasn't able to get it home as it stalled again at a stop sign. Well long story short I had to cough up $520.00 to get it replaced and not 1 dealership in B.C. had 1, how F'd up is that. They had to bring 1 in from Calgary,AB. Had the truck at the dealer for 4 days Lovin' how Nissan Canada is taking their SWEET ASS time for recalls and bullitens !!!!!!!!!

By the looks of the campaign I read a while ago, you should get reimbursed for the repair at least.

Haven't had this issue on my 05 SE yet. Fingers crossed.

$520 to replace the IPDM?! That just seems outrageous. For those who haven't been affected by the IPDM failure yet, there's a temporary fix that I found on thenewx.org:

http://www.thenewx.org/forum/showthread ... light=ipdm

Swap out the ECM relay with the fog light relay and that'll get your truck up and runing again until you can get your hands on a new relay or IPDM.

Alpha, PM me your VIN and i'll make sure to have a look at your file tomorrow....What dealer was it?

The reason IPDM's are prob out of stock is that they're no longer supposed to replace them, just the ECM relay. I'll see what I can see....you'll prob get your $ back anyway....
