is everyone else putting premium in?

Anything automotive in nature, be it Nissan or one of those "other" manufacturers.

We now have gas stations promoting "conventional gasoline" and I have heard people getting better mpg from it. But it doesn't have any ethanol or detergents, supposedly. Gonna try a tank next fill up. I average 18.89 mpg and use Castrol 5W-30 Syntec and change the oil every 7500 miles. My Path sports the 4.0 V6
What is this "conventional gasoline" you speak of and where can I get some? No ethanol=good (more power). No detergents=bad (?)???

The Facts: (From wiki)
Because ethanol contains less energy than gasoline, fuel economy is reduced for most 2002 and earlier American FFVs (flexible-fuel vehicles) by about 30% (most after 2003 lose only 15-17%, or less) when operated on E85 (summer blend). Some of the newest American vehicles can achieve only a 5-15% loss, but as recently as 2007 the Environmental Protection Agency stated on its website that several of the most current American FFVs were still losing 25% fuel efficiency when running on E85.

I see you are in NY and i'm in MS so i haven't a clue of where to direct you. I know 2 stations down here very close to me actually that carry it. I was turned on to this by motorcyclist calming and extra 75-100 miles per tank. Oh and a fun fact if you didnt know, there is a summer and winter blend gas. Its based on the colder air one is to expect in the winter, therefore making a prime air fuel mixture. More dense air better power.

No matter what, were still getting screwed for gas.

Ok, just topped off with "conventional gasoline" which does not contain ethanol, but i'm sure some detergents are in it. After filling up I used my fuel log app and through the course of 5 days and 314 miles I got 18.77mpg.

I will top off again Thursday night for a trip Friday after work. I will have 2 mpg numbers to show first my commuting MPG, derived Thursday night. And the next being the first top off during my trip. So we shall see if this stuff works or if I wasted $2.67.

I know most will want to kill me but it was $3.29 a gallon. Could have gotten cheaper gas @ $3.13 using the Walmart cheat, that ends Friday.

Topped off friday morning with "conventional gas" (9-30-11)
Conventional gas MPG of 18.68 down 0.09

Topped off Sunday afternoon with 10% ehtanol fuel (10-02-11)
Conventional gas MPG of 19.77 down 0.68 (from the usual trip mpg)

Topped off this morning with 10% ethanol fuel (10-05-11)
10% ethanol MPG of 20.02

First, I always drive it like I stole it. I drive fast, in the most responsible way possible. Upon talking with a few mechanic friends I would need to run "conventional" a while to really prove if it would help. But at a glance I see no huge gain in it versus ethanol enriched. E85 would be a different story.

Oh to add into the fun my fuel was $2.85 a gallon today. KROGER fuel points program rocks.

Went ahead and pulled up New York didn't see anything for Long Island. But I have no clue in trying to reference the next closest city/town. Upon messing around a little more with it, most stations look to be in up state.

Thanks brother. Unfortunately there's nothing anywhere near me. On the upside there is one station 300 miles away in my grandparents town. SO I guess this X-mas when I visit them I will be able to run a tank or two.

We always use premium and we have noticed a small improvement in gas mileage plus we know it's better for the vehicle in the long run.
