I have an 08 SE 4x4 and I recently checked my mileage after a 4 hour round trip to and from my sister's house and a 3 days worth of driving to work. My route to work consists mostly of 4 lane roads and interstate (23 miles one way). I did about 50 miles of in town driving as well and averaged 21.7 MPG. I traveled 404 miles and filled up with 18.6 gallons. Granted my in town driving I get passed by everything from a Yugo to a Smart because I try to keep the revs under 2,000-2,500RPM and coast to red lights. Overall on the PF's mileage log, it is averaging 18.5MPG for the life of the vehicle. You can get good mileage, just gotta take it easy on the accelerator pedal. I have had a couple tanks with terrible mileage, but that was with a little offroading and pulling trailers.

We get around 17.6 MPG overall. I think the most we ever get on the highway is around 21-22 mpg with our V6 4x4.

Over the weekend I did about a 40 mile run to one end of the city and back to the house in light 50 mph/80 kmph freeway traffic, stopped once to drop off a friend and offload some light household furniture, the L/100 km button was reset when leaving and we checked it again upon return at trip end;

8.7 L/100 = 27.04 US mpg's

Much of that is using some of the driving techniques from Gassavers.org.

Tillyboat wrote:What I don't like about the Pathfinder is that it has a small gas tank size. The brochures, owners manual says 80 litres(21 gallons), but I have never filled anywhere near that amount. The most I ever put in the vehicle was around 65 litres(17 gallons), and that was when the DTE read 5km. It uctually went blank shortly after that, and before I got to the gas station. It would've been awesome if it had a bigger gas tank, that way there would be less stops. Otherwise the vehicle is awesome.

Have a good day everyone.
The most I've filled is 65 liters at one time. I think it's because the fuel pump needs fuel to keep it cool.

i had to make another trip back to MD for work and i got 19.3mpg driving 70-75mph on the way here which was (obviously) better than the 18.3mpg last time. i'm curious to see what i get on the way back home. this time i'm going to try and keep it at a steady 70mph w/ cruise.

i still get 13-14mpg around town :(

i love and loathe the V8 at the same time.
