I'm not a fan of black wheels, but I have to admit those look pretty sweet. Nice job!

loving the new ride. the wider stance and more aggressive tires really give a more driver oriented feel.

Hey guys. I just wanted to drop in and let you know how the new tires and wheels are doing.

Im at about 7100 miles on them right now and they still look, feel, and handle fantastic!!! There is not a hint of rub, and they wear very evenly. I was a bit hesitant at first about the aggressive tread pattern given the amount of miles I put on, but these tires can take it.

Here is a pic of this last weekend. I finally got a chance to get into some good Northern Wisconsin logging trails, national forests, and soggy bottom swampland. My plan was to take a before and after picture, but all I ended up getting was the before... lol. (a couple of the guys we were running bear dogs with ran into some bad luck, literally. they will be fine, but it put a damper on the weekend).

You're going to have to take my word for it, but the truck stood up like a champ. I ended up taking the running boards off, but that was about it. There was one spot that I really wanted to get into, but the rocks were huge, the slope was steep, and I still don't have my new suspension or armor on yet.

Over 7K miles in a bit over one month! Lots of driving, eh?
Loving the wheels! How much this set up set you back, if you don't mind me asking and where did you get it? Also, where any hubcentric rings required and whether you had any balancing issues? Thanks!

yeah i drive a lot.

i put on about 1k miles/week on average, give or take, and i just did a 1200 mile 4 day trip to Northern Wisconsin. im almost at 45k total miles in just over 1 year!!!

the whole rig (tires, wheels, mounting, balancing, etc...) cost right around $1600.00. its probably not the best deal out there, but its not that bad of a deal either. i figure it comes to about $200 per wheel and $200 per tire. i get free rotations, balancing, and a 100k warranty on the tires thrown in with the package as well.

i searched and searched for a shop that would help me find some wheels to put on the Pathy and ended up with a run of the mill tire shop here (and im glad i found these guys, the service they provide is top notch. no appointments, just drive in, get the work done, and drive out). i can't remember which distributor he was talking with, but from the sound of it there aren't very many that have options for the 6 on 4.5 bolt pattern.

you know, i should check, but i dont know if there were any hub centric rings needed, im guessing there is one at least. there was no mention of issues getting them balanced and after the 6k miles oil change/tire rotation the wear is very even.

its hard to tell if there is any wobble because the extra width of the tires and the aggressive tread grabs the road a ton more. i cruise at 75 to 80 for most of the day as i head to and from the work sites and can let go of the wheel with no problems.

if u get the BFG all terrain t/a's, pay the extra for the KO's, its worth it in the long run imo.

let me know if you need any more info

good luck and enjoy =]
