Even though the TPMS does not measure the spare tire its still a good idea to check it. It just takes seconds and could save you in a pinch.2008PatherfinderS wrote:The spare tire is not monitored by the TPMS. It is stated in the owners manual. That was one of the first things I checked.phantom2 wrote:Have you checked your spare?Maybe there was more than just one tire that was low.
Once I was driving on a highway about 70MPH and all of a sudden my TPMS light started flashing. I didn't feel anything wrong but I immediately pulled into a rest stop about 1/2mi up the road. As I was driving up the ramp the TPMS went off. Checked the tires with a gauge and they were all fine.Captain caveman wrote:Last night was really strange. I was on I80 doing about 70mph and the TPMS light came on. I was like WTF? Since I have a 08 with the dash computer, I went to Info and checked the tire psi. All but one showed 40psi the other was just showing ***. I slowed down thinking I might be having a flat and started to exit the expressway when the light went off and the dash. The computer showed 40psi for all 4 tires. And stayed off
