R51 2008 LE V6 Black

Postby androck2250 » Thu Feb 18, 2021 5:18 pm

Going to part ways with my 2008 LE V6. Not too thrilled to do so, but we got my wife a Honda Pilot and just makes no sense to keep two SUVs of that size, so going to downsize. New tires in Sept 19, limited miles since. New front struts in May 19.

Has been well taken care of, the known issues...
AC is not functional, I have pressure tested and unfortunately it isn't just in need of a recharge.
Driver's side windshield washer nozzle is cracked, so sprays a bit wildly.
Center console cubby latch broken.
Knob for rear AC damaged but functional.

Very minor additions...
K&N air filter
Weather tech cargo liner, covers rear and stowed 3rd row.

Other than that it's stock. Have been very happy with the vehicle for the last ten years. Wanted to list here first knowing all those who appreciate the R51.

Let me know if there is interest and I'll post or send more details and pictures.

$4900

Thanks,
Andy

I wouldn't be surprised if your AC issue is due to a bad field coil in the AC compressor clutch. It happened to my 06 and I've heard of it happening on a few other R51's. If you do the IPDM active test (there are YouTube vids that show the procedure), one of the tests is the activation and release of the AC clutch. If you don't hear it "clicking" during the test, you can then unplug the compressor and run 12v to it and see if it causes the clutch to engage. If not, the clutch needs to be replaced; it can be done on the vehicle without discharging the system or removing the compressor. As far as the latch on the center console, that's fairly common and Nissan issued a TSB about it and the part number for the replacement latch, which is color coded.
