Vertical screen

Postby ikulichkin » Sun Feb 21, 2021 2:53 pm

Has anyone done, or know of some place that sells vertical screen for our pathfinders?
I wanna put a big screen with apple carplay and navigation that would fit directly in our console.
Suggestions?

I've never seen one nor heard of one for the R51.

I'm not sure if there's any direct fits, I'm guessing our factory screens are a typical double din head unit. I was on Crutchfield last week and there were a couple options available that you can look at, albeit, I think they were around the $700-1000 range though.

I've also been thinking about this.
Would love to have a proper touch screen GPS Nav in my dash.
but then the stock Bose works so well and is so nicely integrated..

I've installed the Sony XAV in mine and it works pretty well. It has the Car Play and Android Auto built in.
It also has the backscreen colour that very closely matches Nissan so at night it all looks OEM. I have the BOSE head out of it.

I've been looking for vertical "Tesla" screen in the last couple of months, and they are starting to roll out from manufacturers. I think these look incredible if they can fit.
In the Patty, the screeen would sit a bit higher based on the slot height, and would actually be very practical than looking down at buttons. They are models of these screens that can rotate automatically when a button is pushed. So you can have a wide horizontal, or a tall vertical. I think I like this option, when they start bringing it out.

Amazon is starting to sell these...just look up Vertical Android Car Stereo.

Here is a video look at one for a practical look at what it would look like. I think it would make any car look better IMHO.

Do you have a link to the one you are looking at?

Which model of Sony XAV did you install?
Did it install nice and flush?

What about the others functions usually controlled by the stock headunit like trip computer, mpg, HVAC and the like?

Can u post up some pics?
