The sensor extensions aren't used as a fix for faulty oxygen sensors; they are used in cases where the upstream catalytic converter has become inefficient and triggering catalyst efficiency codes. It's a way of "tricking" the ECM by pulling the element of the sensor partially out of the exhaust stream. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't....but if it does, it's a whole lot cheaper than a new converter!silverarrow27 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 1:58 pmWhat I found with these types of modifications is that extensions that work for someone may not work for someone else hence why the extensions all come in different lengths and bends.
