We built a remote campsite on our land in the Appalachians. 4LO to get up the old logging road to the site. On this visit we had to drag a felled tree that was across the old road with the Pathfinder, since I didn't have the chainsaw. Easy peasy.

I just thought this was picturesque with the Ferry in the background. Little did I know, I had part of the Pathy in the reflection in the puddle. :D

Took the rig to a local SVRA (state vehicle recreation area) where they have a 4x4 obstacle/play area. I've never off-roaded before, so I didn't go for anything too crazy, just some bumpy routes, some significant inclines, and dirt. Plus, my lift is so mediocre compared to the other jacked-up vehicles and side-by-sides that were around that day. Shooooot. I didn't even air-down tires :D that's how noob I am.

here are some lackluster photos of the first go. I don't have too many photos, as I was by myself, so no video or in-action photos. Maybe I'll try it again and bring along a tripod or something.

Park name: Prairie City SVRA.
You can Youtube the location, and there are a bunch of other legit-jacked up vehicles that run the area.

This is a round-rock incline, called "Miners Run". The area was popular way back for mining gold. There are some cool aerial shots around the park in Google that show mounds of round-rock just like this from mining excavations

MinersRun - football sized round rock

This was probably my most confident run-up on a ledge to what's called the Alamo - a man-made hill of various plateaus to challenge the best climbers. Ledge is maybe about 8" high to my estimate. I was a bit too confident and went forward to get down (instead of backwards/reverse), and I ended up rubbing the lower frame just a tad on the way down.
