Cheap easy tablet holder for suv camping

Postby myself » Sun Aug 15, 2021 7:46 pm

I have a decent gooseneck mount for the front seats, to use my 8" android tablet for navigation, but I also wanted an easy way to watch a movie hands-free when the seats are folded down and the air mattress is deployed.

Here's what I came up with, using stuff I had lying around!

1. 8" android tablet
2. Adhesive cable clips
3. Paracord
4. Cheap tablet / phone holder with a ball / socket mount.

The clips are stuck to the middle row dome light housing.
The cord goes thru the ball/socket and makes 2 loops that clip into the 2 clips. It hangs at an angle facing the viewer(s) and is easily setup and taken down. If you need it higher or lower you just loosen the collar pull the cord thru and snug it down again... Too easy!

Hope it helps encourage someone else's next brainstorm session.

Ahh yes paracord, almost as versatile as duct tape. I have used it in many situation to mount media devices in austere locations.
