2022 platinum

Postby mar1 » Tue Jun 21, 2022 10:36 am

Hey folks,

Got myself a new 2022 platinum with all the bells n whistles and I gotta say i'm very impressed with all that tech crammed into the screen and dash.
one thing i hate is my seatbelt chime. before you press caps lock and tell em to put on my seatbelt, i do! all the time! i swear!!

but when i park, if i click off the seatbelt one second before i press P the chime starts and does not stop unless i turn off the car, which is a bother honestly.
Is there any way to disable it? in my old R51 there was a turn on/off, press gas twice, put key/remove key combo thingie that i used.

Get a short seatbelt extender and plug your belt into that. If you raise the belt slider on the B-pillar by a corresponding amount, you shouldn't have a slack problem and the chime will never sound.

Happy to hear it. :D
I hope you VStar' advice will work well for you.

Maybe you could post some pics of your new ride?
Or even a review?

You can add pics via the "attachment" function below the text box 8)

No, just about anything you find out there will be built like a brick. The potential liability for a defective seatbelt product is so enormous (even in other countries) that no sane manufacturer takes any chances.
