Are body parts interchangeable?

Postby Minuratta » Mon Feb 27, 2023 4:13 am

Hey guys, new to this forum. I have a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder R50 Ti. Someone crashed into my right hand-side passenger door. I found another car yard pathy with the same colour but it's build is may 1999. It's 10 months older than mine. Can I take the door off that and put it on mine or are they not interchangeable?

There was a part number change at 12/98, so if the production dates cross that boundary then it may not fit. Anything 10/95 to 11/98 should be a fit. Also, the LE had a guard strip that the other models didn't have, and I think there's a recess for it in the sheet metal. So LE doors may not be identical to others even if the molding is removed.

With anything Nissan, whatever I don't know, I know where to look it up. Navigating the documentation is more than half of the battle these days.
