Aftermarket cruise control

Postby Dubai77 » Wed Sep 20, 2023 11:38 pm

Hey guys, I have a 2012 R51 SE with no cruise control. I am trying to find an after market cruise control kit with no luck. Found a few options for the 2012 Xtrerra and Frontier/Navara but nothing for the Pathfinder R51.

Does anyone who where I can find after market kits?

And would a kit designed for the Xterra or Frontier work on the R51?

Thanks ✌🏽

The electronic Throttle Body on late model Nissans makes adding CC much more complicated than the old days when the TB and CC had cables. The only way to implement CC would be to fool the ECM with a "faux" throttle input by interposing hardware in between the pedal and the ECM, then poaching a VSS signal directly off the tranny and a brake signal directly off the brake pedal. None of that except the brake signal is simple, and the hardware and connectors would have to be application-specific. That's a tough row to hoe for an aftermarket product.

You have no steering wheel controls for a 2012 SE?

I wonder if it's easier for you just to add the factory cruise control?

My thoughts are: you have a SE model. These versions may have a bunch of pre-wiring installed.

Does you IPDM box have the cruise relay installed or the wired pinned from behind?

Have you checked your M30 connector to see how many wires are there?
