ASFIR R51 Bumper

Postby marmillerX » Thu Mar 05, 2009 5:57 am

Has anyone installed this bumper yet? Keeps a nice clean look to the front of the Pathy, without being too aggressive looking.

i like the minimalist approach. no light hoops, just a winch bumper. plus, there is very little projection out the front. fyi, they have a big picture in the r51 catalog: CATALOG PDF

i dont like the gaping hole in the front (shown in the catalog picture). makes it looks like there is something missing. wonder which picture is correct.

also, i dont think anyone has a price for these. i dont even know who sells them. asfir is based in Israel, with a US distributor in arizona. it would be interesting to see their prices.

Well the hole is there so you can control the winch. My first picture doesn't show a winch installed. Maybe there are two different models of this bumper. Looks nice but don't know if you can get it here in the states.

The PDF cat. lists a Scottsdale, AZ address as the USA headquarters.

I'm having a tough time with the looks, mainly because of the front fender color difference. If it were painted to match the body, I bet it would look pretty damn good!

I found these in the US. asfir4x4.com is importing them along with a few other pricey but nice bit for R51s. They ship out of Scottsdale AZ.

Hope you're sitting down... just checked their site and it's $1700 before shipping. Thats about $600 more than a Shrockworks setup. However, it's all aluminum and doesn't require cutting the factory bumper at the "seam". I comes winch ready and weighs about half as much as a steel bumper. It's officially on my wish list.

1700 for just a bumper? That's crazy. That's twice the price of a bumper I could have bought for my Jeep Grand cherokee. It would go on my wish list, but never happen.
