Thinking about ordering this. Anyone seen or have experience with this tail light?

Never seen it before. It looks like the amber turn signal and reverse lights are standard bulbs. Only the red lights are LED's. Looks pretty interesting. Post some before and after shots if you decided to buy them.

the back still has sockets for regular bulbs? are they just LED replacement bulbs in regular assemblies? Also, if they're DOT approved, why the "off road/ show use" disclaimer? I'd be carefull, i've replaced many a BCM/IPDM for problematic wiring/accesories.

$170 for an upgrade that most people will barely notice if at all? This does nothing to enhance the function or performance of the vehicle, and even being a very observant Pathy owner I'm not sure I'd even notice. You've gotta have $ to burn if you're considering this, I must be living in a different economy.

Did any one order it after all? I think LittleStevie is right, why pay 170 for a simple replacement of a regular bulb for an LED bulb in a stock tail light.
But then again I don't know hence the first question.

If it's the case the bulb is what makes the difference then consider this instead and save 160:

Yes I placed the order, and for the guys saying its as simple as replacing the bulb, you are way wrong, they wont look the same I tried, and I dont think $170 is that much to spend on it, I have well over $8000 with stereo and future planing is supercharger and interior...
