I do it all the time. I just close the lock for the glass with my key so the PF bcm thinks the doors are all closed

this is one of the few things i liked better in the 4runner. they get the roll down rear window, rather than the hinged glass.

oh well...

i dont understand why they cant make the back window go down in any other car other then the 4runner, especially the pathy. I loved that part about my 4runner.

Just remember not to do this on dusty dirt roads!

I made that mistake once, and ..cough cough... it was not fun..cough.

I've only done it up to about 45, thanks for the info GOTGOO.

Ever notice at night though the third brake light is a lot brighter lol!

the two things i miss most about my 4runner (was a '92) are the roll down rear window and the tailgate.

put the two of those on my PF (and a solid rear axle) and i'd be set.

since i posted this thread in april, i road with the back open all summer up to highway speeds of 90mph with it open, and 20 mph through dirt roads with no problems, good solid window! :)

No it doesn't. Independent rear suspension.

I tried it and seemed to get exhaust fumes in the truck, but i was in town at traffic lights so the airflow may not have been sufficient.
