2006 clear coat peeling

so i was washing my 06 se what has 37k on it and the clear coat is peeling on the drivers side door right on the lip that is right under teh window. is this covered under warranty?

If its still under warranty or extended warranty Id go make them fix it.

Sounds like the door was painted/re-painted improperly. I had a similar problem with a repair to my right-rear quarter panel. Numb-nuts body man didn't remove the window gasket. Instead, he taped it off ABOVE the gasket lip that overlaps the sheet metal. When I complained about it, the shop manager chose to slice through the paint with a razor blade at the edge of the gasket. Result - the paint peeled six months later. They eventually pulled out the window, sanded and repainted, and replaced the window and gasket WITHOUT reconnecting the antenna cables! Beyond that, the second paint job looks like dog sh#t.

Those are just the highlights of the ordeal. I'll spare you the unspeakable details.

Sorry to hear that. If you purchased new, and the B2B factory warranty is still in effect, you have a valid gripe and should pursue it with the factory. If, instead, you bought used, you may well be SOL. Good luck, my friend. Keep us posted.

nissan said my warranty is 3 yr 36k and im at 37k so no luck for me
