Wont start!!!

Postby GA-Dawg11 » Sat Aug 29, 2009 10:04 am

My girlfriend has a 2005 pathfnder that just stop running on her at a stop light, and would start again but the engine "loped" while it was idling and when your pressed the gas it would die, So I had it towed home and now it wont start at all, it's turning over good but nothing, It has spark and the fuel is getting to the rail, cause I took the two small bolts out of the elbow on the fuel rail and turn the ignition on and fuel started sparying out the end! Anybody had the same experience, or know what else it could be?

my friend had a similar issue with an armada.

turned out to be the engine immobilizer. try checking the fuse for it before doing anything costly.

long shot, but give it a try

Did you find out anything?
I'm curious to what caused this.

I bought an 05 Pathfinder in March of this year, in April I had a wont start issue. Mine turned out to be a very corroded positive battery clamp. I didn't see if you got it fixed yet. Hope this will help.

Tech,

I think you might be on the right track.

jermnang,

If you haven't had any luck I think you might have a problem with the IPDM or ECM but go check it with the dealership.
