Is this system only good for folks who tow with the pathy? Any reason to get it if I don't haul trailers etc around ? Sounds like an easy to install mod.

Pathfinders have a saggy butt without these.

Just having my two dogs in the back drops the truck like 3/4 of an inch. I'm glad I have them. And ready for towing now.

I have a 2007 4X2. Two years ago, I talked with Airlift customer service dept. They told me they didn't support the PF 4X2 because they had never measured one. So I bought the Firestone bags (same kit fits 4X2 and 4X4) and have been happy with them.

Now, I have a leak on one side. I haven't looked at it yet, but if it should need a new bag I will measure the bag and try to get an Airlift kit with the same size bags. The Airlift has two features I would like: they can handle a bit more pressure and the line has a tee so you can fill both sides at once.

Different than what? Sorry, but your question is somewhat oblique. The Airlift kit (4WD) is not for 2WD PF's, if that's what you're asking. I've been there . . . done that. They recommend, but I don't think they warranty, the kit for the Kia Sorento. Firestone, on the other hand sells and warranty's a kit for the 2WD PF. Personally, I've done neither, but I'm inclined to go with Firestone.

my question was whether anyone here ever installed it in a 2WD Path.

Firestone kit is the same, imho, is because they don't think 1/2" height makes any difference, and not bothered to check if both works. it might just not matter, as 1/2" too short is no big deal, just run 25 psi instead of 35psi.

I ordered the Kia Sorento kit. will update once I install it. I read the thread. 4WD kit is too tall, Sorento kit is too short. I think 1/2" short is fine, I might just install a small spacer so it doesn't rattle (if that is indeed an issue).

ok a few questions about airlift 1000:

1. does this help save gas?
2. if this stiffens up the back - what about the front?
3. is this only to help out with towing?

thanks :)

Could you provide more information about the measurements? How does the 2WD spring compare to the 4WD spring? Thanks.

The Airlift 1000 "supports" the saggy rear end of the PF's. My PF sags a little bit with just my two labs(200#'s) in the back. When towing, the Airlift will support your rear end as well as enhance the handling of the vehicle. As for saving gas, I can't see how it would save any, unless it just prevents unnecessary up and down movement of vehicle which could I guess use up more fuel.

cheers,

Read through this thread. Several of us previously looked closely at that issue.
