LED HEADLAMP Bulb Swap! Anyone?

Options for night time illumination are slowly growing without adding aftermarket driving lights. So.... since HID kits are coming down in price, and Toyota has introduced several of their cars (3rd Generation Prius V model and the Lexus LS Hybrid) with LED head lamps, I've noticed the aftermarket starting to release some of their own 9000's series plug and play headlamp bulbs with LED's in them. Has anyone tried swapping out their stock main or fog bulb with the LED set up? I'm curious if it's any better or worse than stock or HID?
